Mix together in your food processor, one and a quarter cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of plain flour, half a teaspoon of baking powder and half a teaspoon of bi-carb. soda. (Set this mixture aside.)
Cream 125 g butter, half a cup of brown sugar and half a cup of white sugar. Then add 1 egg and half a teaspoon of vanilla essence. Mix in 1 cup of chocolate buttons and 60g of Macadamia nuts.
In a bowl, combine the sugar/butter mixture with the dry ingredients. Roll teaspoons of the mixture into balls and place on an ungreased tray. Cook for 10 minutes at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F).
